DW took a leading role in a rate harmonisation exercise with the other Service Providers on the Framework, sharing best practice and in some cases supply chain harmonisation of subcontract works to reduce framework rates (approx 6%).

Site overheads and preliminaries have reduced year on year through efficient project and programme managemen, enabling Catalyst to award further works to DW in 2017/2018. This meant we were able to deliver more work within the original budget value and demonstrated our agility as an SME to mobilise additional works quickly and efficiently.

We established a Continuous Improvement Group made up of members of our supply chain, client team and DW management) to drive innovation and best practice. We benchmarked our internal standards with Catalyst to ensure our procedures are in line with client expectaionts, and worked with Catalyst to complete joint pilot surveys to ensure a joined-up and consistent approach to an agreed specification/quality of finish.
